    The Intake specialist maintains up-to-date knowledge of HomeFirst Managed Long Term Care Plan (MLTCP) and assists in the daily activities of both the HomeFirst Enrollment Entitlement staff and Intake staff.  This individual assists in maintaining all logs & reports associated with the Intake Specialist position, which help delineate productivity, timeframes, and quality of HomeFirst Enrollment’s referral flow and outcomes.The Intake Specialist is responsible for vetting and assigning new referrals to enrollment representitives and data entry into Market Prominence as the Enrollment Intake department requires. This individual adheres to all HIPPA standards and contractual agreements. Intake is required to track medicaid recertification records and the initiation of communication with enrollment supervisor/manager, enrollee and HRA/LDSS personnel to facilitate resolution of Medicaid issues. This position is responsible for assisting in problem solving as new duties arise and volumes fluctuate.


    • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree, preferred.
    • 2-3 years experience in a health related field or commensurate experience in Managed Care with a concentration in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility, preferably with the geriatric population.
    • Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare concepts, procedures, and enrollment practices, preferred.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, presentation skills, flexibility, and ethical conduct.
    • Demonstrates critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrates an ability to initiate and self-directed daily activities.
    • Demonstrates principles of customer service in all job responsibilities.
