Responsibilities

Develop clinical skills through hands-on experience and supervision in an inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.  Improve practices in interaction with older adults diagnosed with dementia.  Gain a deeper understanding of music therapy practices with older adults in a residential setting.  Conduct music therapy assessments, assist in providing in-services to nursing and recreation staff and contribute meaningful experiences to creative arts therapy department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with geriatric population
  • Enrollment in a Creative Arts Therapy program required.
