Responsibilities

The Trainer/Auditor is responsible for quality assurance, accuracy and overall integrity of the Utilization Management records and documentation completed by Support staff. This role is to provide training and auditing support to Directors, Managers and Supervisors; to ensure that all documentation and reporting requirements are prepared and maintained in a professional and well-coordinated manner. The Support Staff Trainer and Auditor is responsible to complete all training for the Placement and Utilization Support and Managed Care Coordinator positions. The Trainer/Auditor will provide new staff with a comprehensive training program; inclusive of all training materials, policies, and workflows/job aides. The Trainer/Auditor will document progress and milestones in the training program and report to the staff’s assigned Supervisor. The Trainer/Auditor will also complete ongoing audits of Support Staff, analyze collected audit data, identify trends for staff re-training and implement corrective action plans in collaboration with unit Supervisors/Management team.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree preferred, 2 to 3 years’ experience in healthcare
  • Minimum of two (2) years of working in utilization management support experience required. Managed Care experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, interpretation of data
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Ability to set priorities and to handle multiple assignments
  • Working knowledge of audit techniques and methodologies
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations
  • Travels to perform business partners training
