Responsibilities

Oversees and conducts orientation, training and education to all members of Hospice & Palliative Care teams and The Institute. Responsible for establishing all educational modules and training kits as needed. Supervises day-to-day activities of Staff Development Educators.

Demonstrates strong critical-thinking, problem-solving skills and knowledge of Medicare/ Medicaid/ Private Insurances as well as the Hospice Conditions of Participation.
Demonstrates awareness of cultural sensitivity and strives to instill this sensitivity to others.

Demonstrates the ability to make effective decisions concerning job performance.
Secures relevant information to identify potential problems and makes recommendations for appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Nursing Degree from an NLN-Accredited School of Nursing
  • Master’s degree in nursing, education or related field preferred.
  • CHPN required.
  • Licensed with current Registration to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
  • Minimum of three years of Hospice experience.
